Wendouree Cricket Club B.C.A 2010/11 First and Second XI Premiers.

Our First XI has now won three premierships in succession while our Second XI have won four of the previous five premierships in the Ballarat Cricket Association.

                                                     ...also State 20/20 winners - M.C.G.  in February 2010.

The origins of our club can be traced to the latter years of the Second World War. A local team known as 'Young Men's Gold' was formed in 1942/43 and then the following season changed its name to Ballarat Central. The club joined the Ballarat Cricket Association in 1944/45 and won its first premiership in 1953/54. In 1965/66 another name change saw the adoption of the title Wendouree Central and then in 1969/70 in an endeavour to identify with a localised area of Ballarat, The Wendouree Cricket Club became the formalised title.

Throughout the years our club has continued to be very successful and has developed a proud reputation within the wider Ballarat community. Our continued success has been based upon sound and progressive administration, respect for the game, an excellent Junior coaching philosophy and a determination to be a welcoming and friendly community organisation.

While our club has experienced considerable on field success, this has been possible because of the excellent organisation and determined spirit that has typified our club culture for decades. The following summary of the club's finals appearances provides a clear measure of our club's proud history and outstanding achievements.
